Chandigarh, Feb 19 (UNI) The Haryana Cabinet today gave its ex-post-facto approval to the government decision to exempt the Hindi film 'Chak De India' from payment of entertainment duty for its 15 prints.
The approval was granted at its meeting presided by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here.
The exemption was effective for four weeks in Haryana subject to the condition that there would be no refund or foregoing of past collection.
It may be recalled that the Screening Committee, which pre-viewed the film on September 4, 2007, had recommended exemption from entertainment duty for the film, as ordered by the Chief Minister.
