Aizawl, Feb 19 (UNI) Hundreds of Christians came out on the streets of Aizawl today to participate in Hnehna Kawngzawh, the "rally of victory", after a 40-day fast-and-prayer.
Led by spiritualist-cum-businesswoman Lalremsiami, the prayer fasting was aimed at asking "God's forgiveness for the sins of Mizoram.
Lalremsiami is the owner of Northeast Region Finance Services (NEREFS) Ltd in the business world.
It had been "revealed" to Lalremsiami that unless the people of Mizoram repented from their sinful ways, they would face the wrath of God. Altogether, about 15,000 Christians from within and outside Mizoram took part in the prayer camp that began on January 11, the Missionary Day in Mizoram.
''Miracles happened to me. Before, I could never do without even a single meal in a day. But, I have fasted for 40 consecutive days,'' said a 43-year-old woman, who have participated in the prayer camp.
Among those who participated partly in the camp, included Chief Minister Zoramthang.
Earlier, a group of Christians from Nagaland had come to Mizoram to deliver a Jonah's message: "Repent or face the wrath of God".
