Over 80 kg ganja seized, five female peddlers held in Assam
Guwahati, Feb 18 (UNI) Police arrested five female drug peddlers and seized over 80 kg of ganja from their possession in separate raids in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
Police said here today that the consignments were being transported from Dimapur in Nagaland yesterday and the women were being used to smuggle in the drugs.
One Anima Sarkar was arrested with 30 kg of ganja in Khatkhati outpost while coming from Dimapur to Jorhat.
In the other haul, 54 kg ganja was recovered from four women, identified as Malati Das, Rina Das, Minu Pal and Mamoni Das, who were traveling to Guwahati from Dimapur.
