Interstate gangster held in Delhi after brief encounter
New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) The Delhi Police today said they have arrested an interstate gangster after a brief encounter in Sarai Kale Khan area of the capital.
They said Joginder Singh alias Joga was wanted in 70 cases of murder, robbery and encounters in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
On specific information, police had laid a trap in Sarai Kale Khan area on February 16.
When asked to surrender, Joga opened fire at the police team and tried to flee.
After a brief encounter, he was arrested, and one pistol and two live cartridges were seized from his possession, police said.
Police have declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for his arrest.
