CM against Telangana formation: CWC member
Hyderabad, Feb 17 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Congress Working Committee (CWC) member G Venkataswami today alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was against the formation of separate Telangana state.
Talking to newspersons here, he alleged that the Chief Minister was not allowing the Centre to take a decision on the Telangana statehood. He should be responsible if Telangana state was not formed before the next general elections, he warned.
Stating that the Congress was not allowing him to meet the AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi to discuss the Telangana issue recently, he said he would participate in senior Congress leaders' meeting scheduled on March ten at Bhuvanagiri in Nalgonda district.
