Bangalore, Feb 17 (UNI) A BJP delegation led by former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will meet the Chief Election Commissioner in New Delhi to press for election to the State Legislative Assembly in May, when the six month President rule term ends.
According to party sources here the Delegation will be meeting the CEC tomorrow and submit a memorandum to this effect.
It is not late even now for the Election Commission to gear up for holding polls in the State before May 27, based on the implementation of Delimitation Commission report", sources added.
BJP's main demand is to hold the elections in May itself, as the deadline for the President rule in the state comes to an end.
However, the party would not face any adverse situation even if the elections are held in November as demanded by Congress.
