Puducherry, Feb 16 (UNI) The Puducherry administration is taking steps to ensure 100 per cent pass in government schools, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said today.
Inaugurating a two-day national seminar on 'quality improvement in school education' here, Mr Rangasamy expressed hope that the government would achieve the target soon.
The aim of the Union Government was to educate all children and to achieve this, the Puducherry administration is providing compulsory education up to 8th standard.
The school drop out was relatively low in Puducherry compared to the national average, due to special schemes evolved by the Government, he said and added that to impart quality education , the administration had recruited qualified teachers here.
About 25 educationalists from all over the country are taking part in the seminar.
