Udaipur, Feb 16 (UNI) BJP national president Rajnath Singh today asserted that the NDA government would be set up at the Centre in 2009 Lok Sabha election and the party's prospect in poll-bound three Northeastern states was bright.
Addressing a public rally in Udaipur College ground, Mr Singh urged the people of Tripura to vote for the BJP, as the party was confident that the NDA would come to power in the next election, which would help Tripura develop more.
Criticising both the Left Front and Congress, Mr Singh said the parties had launched a ''got up'' game in West Bengal, Tripura and Kerala against each other, but they were maintaining friendship in Delhi.
The Congress and CPI(M) had been cheating and misleading the people, Mr Singh alleged and said the BJP always wanted development of all communities, but the UPA partners were playing with communal cards in regard to development and support.
'' Hinduism is not a religion, but it is a thought of life and civilisation according to the Supreme Court, '' Mr Singh said and blamed the Congress and CPI(M) for instigating minority community against the BJP, but the debacle of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and two other states' elections taught them a lesson.
'' The UPA Government is not only violating the principles of federal polity, but in the near future you can also expect them to create problems and hurdles for the BJP-ruled states and also misuse various national commissions for political gains, '' he said.
