Increasing power capacity a top priority: Kiran
Bhiwani, Feb 16 (UNI) Addition of power generating capacity in the state is the top priority of the government of Haryana, Minister for Forest, Environment and Sports Kiran Choudhry said at village Alampur in district Bhiwani after laying foundation stone of a 33KV sub-station.
She laid foundation stone of a 33 KV substation at village Hassan also. The substations would be constructed by the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) at a cost of Rs four crore.
She said that the government has targeted to give power supply at least for 22 hours after 2-3 years for which power plants of 5000 MW generating capacity were under construction and about 2000 MW power was to be purchased from projects out of state.
The Minister said that the DHBVN and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) plan to spend Rs. 460 crores to strengthen Power transmission and distribution system in district Bhiwani. Under this ambitious comprehensive plan, the power utility would construct 19 sub-stations of various levels and augment capacity of 12 existing sub-stations.
The sub-stations to be constructed include 220KV sub station under construction at Isharwal at a cost of Rs. 87 crore and a 132KV sub station at Haluwas.
The DHBVN would construct 17 sub-stations of 33 KV level at villages Shishwala, Khudana, Pichopa, Pataudi, Kakroli, Chhapar, Mandola, Budhera, Singhani, Karidharna, Baralu, Alampur, Bapora, Hassan, Kheribattar, Dharedu, Chaharkalan.
