Night temperature rises slightly in Punjab
Jalandhar, Feb 15: After a spell of cold weather conditions, the night temperature witnessed a slight rise in Punjab.
According to a Defence spokesperson, the night temperature after remaining below zero degree mark for four days at Adampur Airforce Station near here, increased to 3.4 degrees Celsius as against yesterday's minus 1.1 degrees Celsius.
Also the minimum temperature in holy city of Amritsar increased to 4.8 degrees from yesterday's minus 1.0 degrees C. The night temperature at Halwara Airforce station near Ludhiana hovered at 6.0 degrees C from yesterday's 2.6 degrees C.
The border town of Pathankot was cold at 6.6 degrees C while in Bathinda the minimum temperature increased to 7.8 degrees C as against yesterday's 4.4 degrees C.
The night temperature in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was recorded at 6.0 degrees C.
The Defence Met Section has predicted shallow fog, mist and haze in the morning and partially cloudy sky during the day in the next 24 hours.
