Hamirpur, Feb 15 (UNI) The headquarters of the newly sanctioned battalion of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB)-4 will be at Jangel Beri in Hamirpur district from where the IRB-2 was shifted during previous Congress regime.
This was announced today by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal while talking to reporters at Nadaun. Mr Dhumal said that in all 1,000 posts of different categories will be created in the Battalion. Out of the total strength, 963 rank posts, 33 wireless staff and 11 posts of medical and ministerial staff will be filled in the battalion.
The Centre would provide a sum of Rs eight crore as capital cost for meeting the infrastructure expenditure, he said and added that it would be in the shape of grant-in-aid from funds allotted under security related expenditure.
