New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) In yet another case of sexual harassment in the Delhi University, a PhD Scholar from the Geology Department has accused her Senior Professor of sexually harassing her.
The victim last week submitted a two-page complaint against Prof J P Srivastava to Vice Chancellor Deepak Pental and DUSU Sexual Harassment committee, DUSU president Amrita Bhari said today.
The complaint said she was forced to endure repeated sexual advances by the teacher in September 2007.
Ms Bhari said the representatives of the union had met the Vice Chancellor and demanded immediate suspension of the professor.
''We were assured by the Vice Chancellor that by Monday a report will be submitted about the issue,'' she added.
University Proctor Gurmeet Singh said the complaint was being examined and officials had already once interviewed Prof Srivastava.
However, the complainant is yet to be quizzed as she had proceeded to Lucknow after filing the complaint.
''She is not expected back till February 22... The report will only be submitted once she is back,'' he added.
