Kottayam, Feb 14: Pinarayi Vijayan was re-elected as State Secretary of the CPI(M) today. The newly-elected State Committee unanimously elected Mr Vijayan as Secretary of the party, CPI(M) State Committee member and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Vijayan said that in the 85-member State Committee, 84 members were elected today and one post remained vacant. Five-member Control Commission under the Chairmanship of C P Balan Vaidyan was also elected, besides 170 delegates for the All India Conference of the party. All the elections were unanimous, he added.
