HSIIDC to set up new industrial estates

Chandigarh, Feb 14 (UNI) Haryana State Industries and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has formulated an ambitious plan for setting up new industrial estates and infrastructure projects in the state.

While stating this here today, Industries and Commerce Minister Lachhman Dass Arora said that a land bank of about 17,000 acres was being created for setting up new industrial estates and infrastructural projects for which the investment outlay on providing infrastructure for these projects would come to Rs 12,000 crore.

The Minister said that the prominent projects include Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, Industrial Model Townships (IMT) at Rohtak, Faridabad and Jagadhari and expansion of IMT Manesar, Bawal, Barhi, Rai, Karnal and Saha industrial estates.

He said that under this plan, HSIIDC had allotted land to Poss Delhi Steel Processing Centre, Ahresty India, Shell Bitumen India, Sona Koyo Steering Systems, Rico-Auto India and Caparo Vehicles Products India.

He said that the new industrial estates being developed by the Corporation were IMT Manesar, Phase V over an area of 956 acres, Bawal Growth Centre Phase-II over 1016 acres, Technology Park at Panchkula over 79 acres, Petrochemical Hub, Panipat over 4,000 acres.

He said that as many as 2,484 industrial plots in various industrial estates had been allotted during the last three years which were likely to catalyse domestic and foreign investments of over Rs 8,480 crore in the state.

The Minister said that in addition to this, the Corporation had already acquired an additional 152 acres of land in Rohtak for expansion of existing IDC colony, 878 acres of land for development of IMT Rohtak.

Expansion of industrial estates and Industrial Model Township was also being carried out at Rai over an area of 476 acres, Kundli Phase V over 714 acres, Barhi Phase III over 651 acres, Karnal Phase III over 312 acres, IMT Faridabad over 1,800 acres, IMT Kharkhoda over 5,000 acres and IMT Jagadhari over 800 acres.

He said that Industrial Model Township, Manesar had been developed as an integral industrial park of international standards.

A number of multi-national companies such as Norcool, Denso, Johnson Mathey, Napino Auto, Honda Motor Cycles and Scooters, Baxter, Mitsubishi, Stanley, Munjal Showa, Jamuna NHK, and Suzuki Metal India had already set up their units at IMT Manesar.
