Manesar, Haryana, Feb 14 (UNI) National Security Guard Director General Jyoti Krishan Dutt today underscored the need for a constant vigil and research in view of the changing terrorism scenario in the country.
Addressing a two-day eighth international conference being organised by the National Bomb Data Centre after inaugurating it, Mr Dutt said in the changing terrorism scenario, changes were also being made in the modus operandi of terrorists in detonating bombs and they also end up achieving success in their nefarious designs more often than not.
He said to keep a check on that, the Data Centre keeps doing research related to bomb blasts and updating security agencies on that.
Forensic experts and bomb disposal experts from the US, Russia, Britain, Japan, Malaysia and Cambodia, among others, are also participating in the deliberations.
The Director General said the Data Centre besides updating the security agencies on new bomb blast methods also update them on tackling explosives.
On this occasion, Mr Dutt also unveiled the latest issue of annual magazine 'Bomb Cell'.
