YSR directive to Ministers, MLAs, MLCs
Hyderabad, Feb 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today advised the Ministers, MLAs and MLCs to actively involve in welfare schemes being implemented for the benefit of the poor in the State.
Addressing the press after a Congress Legislature Party(CLP) Meeting,State Finance Minister K Rosaiah said the Chief Minister had advised the Legislators and Council members to visit villages regularly on holidays during the Assembly session.
He said the party had also resolved to help farmers who lost crops during the recent untimely rains in the State.
Agriculture, Ports and Fisheries Ministers were already touring the affected areas to assess the situation and the government had already started relief and rehabilitation work in the affected areas. If necessary, Central help would be sought.
The Chief Minister had advised the party members to strive hard to complete the ongoing schemes as per schedule.
MLAs had been asked to take steps to speed up the ongoing work on 74 irrtigation projects.
