Kidnapped man reseued after four months
Morena (MP), Feb 13 (UNI) A 35-year-old man, who was kidnapped about four month ago from Gwalior and found tied to a tree in a forest, was rescued by the Madhya Pradesh Police after an encounter with the notorious dacoit gang led by Vakila Gurjar, police today said.
The encounter took place in Pagara forest under Jaura police station area of this district last night, acting on a tip-off about the presence of the gang, Superintendent of Police S K Singh said.
Exchange of fire continued for about half an hour and the dacoits retreated. Later, Rameshwar Kushwaha, who was kidnapped from Gwalior in October last year, was found tied to a tree. The dacoit gang who demanded a ransom of Rs five lakh for Kushwaha's release was very active in border areas of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
