Hyderabad, Feb 13 (UNI) Four people today surrendered before Panjagutta police in the city, claiming that they were involved in the attack on Telugu actor Rajasekhar, his actress-wife Jeevitha and their two daughters, when the family was returning home from railway station in a car on January 28.
Police said Nagesh, Suribabu, Venugopal and Venkatesh, accompanied by their counsel surrendered.
The attackers came in four cars and intercepted Mr Rajasekhar's vehicle at Punjagutta crossroads in the early hours. They shouted slogans against him for criticising actor Chiranjeevi as a political novice in a press conference and demanded an apology. They then damaged his car, causing injury to Mr Rajasekhar and his elder daughter, Sivani.
Based on a complaint filed by Mr Rajasekhar's wife, a case was registered under section 147, 148, 341, 324, 327 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
