Jalandhar, Feb 13 (UNI) People shivered under severe cold as the night temperature further dipped at Adampur in Punjab despite a bright sunny day today.
According to Defence Spokesperson, the Indian Air Force (IAF) station at Adampur, near here recorded the minimum temperature at minus 1.4 degrees Celsius as against yesterday's minus 0.6 degrees Celsius.
The holy city of Amritsar registered a slight increase in the minimum temperature from yesterday's minus 1.0 degrees C to 2.0 degrees C.
The minimum temperature recorded at Halwara Airforce station near Ludhiana was 1.6 degrees C, an increase of just 0.4 degrees C from yesterday's 1.2 degrees C.
The night temperature in the border town of Pathankot hovered at around 3.0 degrees C, while it was low at 4.2 degrees C in Bathinda.
However, the night temperature in Chandigarh registered an increase of two degrees and was recorded at 7.0 degrees C.
The Defence Met Section has predicted mist and haze in the morning and clear weather during the day in the next 24 hours.
