16 officials suspended in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended 16 officials of various departments for remaining absent from duty last month when people experienced the coldest night after temperature dipped to minus 7.4 degree.
They said Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, has placed 16 officials of various department under suspension for remaining absent from duty on January 02, 2008.
Those suspended on the recommendations of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sopore, include Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, three doctors of Sub-District Hospital, five employees of Municipal Council and four officials of Roads and Buildings.
