Bangalore, Feb 12: Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over the Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Tiptur, Balehonnur both recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Jayapura 6; Sakleshpura, Chikmagalur 5 each; Ponampet, Arsikere, Gubbi, Madhugiri 4 each; Kottigehara, Kammardi. Kudligi. Hiriyur, Challakere, Nayakanahatti, Parasurampura 3 each; Mudgal, Virajpet, Sringeri, N.R.Pura, Yegati, Ballupet, Belur, Malur, Molkalmuru 2 each; Kundapur, Chittapur, Sagar, Kalasa, Tarikere, H.D.Kote, Siruguppa, Kampli, Koratagere, Chikkanahalli, Chitradurga, Agumbe 1 each.
Minimum temperatures rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and changed little over South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka; above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Dharwad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16.3 degree Celsius over the State.
