Agartala, Feb 12 (UNI) In a bid to woo the electorate, a galaxy of veteran political leaders and ministers, both from the Left Front and the Congress, would campaign in Tripura, while the BJP had already declared that three of its top leaders would address the rallies.

Reportedly Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would address a rally in Udaipur of South Tripura on February 19, a day after Congress president Sonia Gandhi's rally in the state capital and another at Dharmanagar in North Tripura.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh were expected to campaign in North Tripura and Agartala this week, while West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, MP Brinda Karat and West Bengal CPI(M) secretary Biman Bose would address six election rallies in West and South Tripura.

At least five West Bengal ministers and senior Left Front leaders would participate in the election rallies in various constituencies, while Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar had been holding party meetings in all important constituencies and sub-divisions.

Besides, veteran Congress leaders from West Bengal and Union Ministers Pranab Mukherjee and Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, Santosh Mohan Deb, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and other senior Congress leaders from the North East would arrive here to bolster the Congress's bid to defeat the Left Front.
