Washington, Feb 12 : Renee Zellweger is in talks to star in comedy "My One and Only."
The pic, set in the 1950s, is based on a true childhood adventure of actor George Hamilton.
If she signs on, Zellweger will play the glamorous Anne Deveraux as she drives down the Eastern seaboard from city to city in a quixotic search for a wealthy man to fund a new life for her and her sons.
Richard Loncraine will direct the movie from a script penned by Charlie Peters, reports Variety.
Aaron Ryder, Ara Katz and Art Spigel are on board as producers.
Hamilton will be exec producer along with Ron Ward, Rob Pritchard, Dan Fireman and Robert Kosberg.
Artfire is financing, with worldwide sales being handled by Essential Entertainment.
Shooting for the movie is scheduled to begin in April on the East Coast.
