President to arrive Patna Friday on a two-day visit to Bihar

Patna, Feb 12 (UNI) President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil would arrive here on February 15 on a two-day visit to Bihar.

Official sources here tonight informed that the President on her arrival at Gaya airport by a spercial IAF aircraft from New Delhi at 1105 hours on Friday would leave for Nalanda to visit the historical monument, including the ruins of the ancient university there.

After an hour-long tour of different sites, she would return to Gaya to visit the famous Mahabodhi temple.

The same afternoon the President would inaugurate the first All India Inter-University cultural festival ''Tarang'', organised by the Magadh University at Gaya before returning to Patna for a night halt at Raj Bhavan.

The next morning Ms Patil would leave for Vaishali, another historical town in Bihar, to visit the famous Santi-Stupa and the government museum there.

Later on her return to Patna, the President would launch the 'Mukhyamantri Kanya Vibah Yojna' at the city's Srikrishna Memorial hall.

Before returning to New Delhi the same evening, the President is also scheduled to visit the famous Gurdwara Patna Sahib here, the sources informed.
