Bokaro, Feb 12 (UNI) Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Sibu Soren today said his party was ready for the mid-term poll in the State but warned that fall of the present UPA-backed Madhu Koda Government at this juncture would not augur well for the coalition allies.
Still two years were left for the Assemlby poll, Mr Soren told UNI here, adding if the Congress withdrew support from the Koda government leading to its fall then it would not be healthy for the UPA.
Mr Soren reiterated that during his last meeting with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi, the latter pleaded ignorance about the political development in Jharkhand created by the Congress move setting two-month deadline to Mr Koda either to perform or perish.
Ms Gandhi said she was not aware of CWC member and in-charge of Jharkhand Ajay Maken's ultimatum to the UPA government that expired on January 15.
He said though he was ready for elections yet hoped that if the government completed full term it would be better for the State as well as the UPA government.
''After I was released from the jail I have worked hard for the development of the state'', he said.
