Itanagar, Feb 11 (UNI) The Upper Siang district police arrested two employees of the Yingkiong branch of Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Apex Bank Limited on charges of corruption.
Official sources said here today that an FIR was lodged by the bank management with the Yingkiong police against a branch manager and two cashiers of the branch.
Police arrested two of the accused on February seven and nine and sent them to police custody.
With this, the total number of FIRs lodged by the bank management has gone up to six - four against bank officials and two against defaulting borrowers - and five had been arrested so far, sources informed.
The management had so far terminated 50 irregular appointees of the bank and released 21 of them under special voluntary retirement scheme, the sources added.
