Haryana to provide subsidy on oil seeds crops
Chandigarh, Feb 11 (UNI) The Haryana Government will provide subsidy on oil seeds crops to the farmers of Sirsa, Bhiwani, Hisar, Rohtak and Sonipat districts.
Giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Agriculture Department said the department will give subsidy of Rs 1200 per quintal on certified seeds of oil seeds crops. He informed that 50 per cent subsidy would also be given to the farmers on gypsum.
The spokesman said farmers of the state were being advised to use less quantity of irrigation water for their crops as the departmental officers were suggesting a number of new techniques for this purpose.
''For the success of this system the contribution made by the sprinkling sets has proved very useful. Keeping in view the utility of this system, the state government has decided to give a subsidy of Rs 7,500 per sprinkling set,'' he added.
He said that the government was also stressing on getting rid of insects by way of implementing the Integrated Insecticide Management and the farmers were being given Rs 775 per hectare for this purpose.
The spokesman said that the agriculture department had also decided to give subsidy of Rs 15,000 on purchasing of Zero Till Seed Drill Machine and Rs 30,000 on Rotavator machine.
