Chennai, Feb 11 (UNI) The Australian Education Interview Programme for the benefit of Indian students, seeking study options in Australia would be held at various centres in the country from February 23 to March four.
IDP Education India, which organised the education programme, in a release here said the interview programme, held twice a year, for the past 15 years, would be held in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
In the city, the programme would be held on March two at Hotel Taj Coromandel, it said.
''The format of the event is not like the traditional exhibitions.
This is a very structured programme offering students and parents the opportunity for an exclusive interview with the Australian representative to finalise career plans and in some instances obtain an admission letter'', it said.
The programme offered students a huge savings on application fees and they should do pre-registration at the IDP office in Chennai at www.idp.com/india. Students must bring their original academic documents and adequate number of photocopies, the release said.
It said the number of foreign students studying at Australian Universities and Institution campuses was increasing every year.
Interestingly, India sends more post-graduate students to Australia than any other country in the world, it added.
''According to the rankings published by the prestigious Times Higher Education Supplement, 12 of Australia's 39 universities rank in the world's top 200 universities. Moreover, the cost of study and living is not as expensive as the US, UK'', the release said.
