Jaipur, Feb 10 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj today expressed dissatisfaction over the Manmohan Singh Government's attitude on the women's reservation bill.

Talking to newspersons here, Ms Swaraj said that despite Sonia Gandhi's leadership, the issue of women's reservation could not made headaway under the present UPA regime.

She said the present government at the Centre had failed to get clear the proposed bill from the cabinet.

However, she praised the BJP leadership for doing its best for introducing the bill in Parliament during NDA's rule.

Ms Swaraj came to participate in the closing ceremony of the BJP Medical Practitioners Cell's national convention here.

Speaking at the convention, Ms Swaraj also expressed satisfaction over BJP leadership's attitude in implementing reservation for women at the party's organisational level.

She said the BJP leadership's attitude would pave for greater participation of women in the party affairs and the politics.

Ms Swaraj also assured that the party would try to give maximum possible placements to its woman-activitists in power positions, including the councils of minsiters, in the state where BJP was in the power.

The former Union Health Minister has also praised medical practitioners cell for adopting resolution for effective curbs on female foeticide and said the party would ensure strict implementation of curbs to prevent female foeticide.
