Kathmandu, Feb 10 (UNI) The Nepal Election Commission today urged all political parties not to paint walls or put banners in course of carrying out publicity for the Constituent Assembly elections to be held on April 10.
Drawing attention of the parties towards the code of conduct-2064 BS, that does not allow the wall painting and banner hanging for the publicity of elections, the EC requested them to omit and pull out the paintings and banners before February 20, the date to enforce the CA election code-of-conduct, a statement issued here said.
The EC said parties were not allowed to create any kind of obstruction against their rivals and no political party would be permitted to hold rallies or mass getherings.
It, However, hoped that all concerned would help create necessary environment so that the elections could be held in a free and fair manner.
