Mercury dips to 0.2 degree celsius at Adampur in Punjab
Jalandhar, Feb 10 (UNI) Adampur airbase near here continued to be the coldest place in Punjab for the last few day as the night temperature continued to drop in the region.
According to a defence spokesperson, the minimum temperature recorded at Adampur was 0.2 degree celsius as against yesterday's 1.0 degree celsius.
In the holy city of Amritsar, the minimum temperature dropped to 1.0 degree celsius, while at Halwara airbase near Ludhiana, the night temperature further plunged to 0.6 degree celsius as against yesterday's 2.4 degrees celsius.
In the border town of Pathankot, the minimum temperatures hovered at around 4.0 degree celsius and in Bathinda it was cold at 3.4 degrees celsius.
The minimum temperature registered in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was 5.2 celsius.
For the next 24 hours, the met office has predicted fog, mist and haze in the morning and fine to fair weather during the day.
