''We will enter the television segment with the launch of colour television (CTVs) and LCDs,'' Godrej&Boyce Mfg Co Ltd (GBM) Sales and Marketing (Appliance Division) Kamal Nandi told the sources. The subsidiary of GBM Godrej Appliances will unveil its television segment products in the next fiscal, he added.
The Mumbai-based company is present in refrigerators, air-conditioners, washing machines, microwave ovens and DVD players segment. Without divuling further details, Mr Nandi said the company has not yet finalised the price range. Industry leaders expect total CTV market to grow to 12.3 million units in 2008 compared to 10.5 million units in 2007. Slim TV market is also expected to double to eight lakh units this year.
