Bhubaneswar, Feb 10 (UNI) A central team of the Union Rural Housing Department will visit Orissa to probe into the allegation of irregularities and corruption in the distribution of houses under the Indira Awas Yojana (IAY).
The team, headed by Rural Housing Director H.Khurana, will visit Dhenkanal on February 12 to have an interaction with the Government officials and look into the complaints raised by BJP Lok Sabha MP Dharmendra Pradhan.
The team would also review the distribution of the IAY houses and make an on the spot study at Kankadahad and Parajang. The team members would also discuss the matter with the senior officials of the Panchayat Raj Department in Bhubaneswar.
Mr Pradhan BJP MP from Deogarh, had alleged malpractices and favouritism in the distribution of the Indira Awas Yojana houses in two blocks of Dhenkanal district and urged the Centre to depute a central team to investigate the scam.
