Panaji, Feb 9 (UNI) A vision document to bring in the much needed improvement in education sysytem in Goa will be ready by the month end, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said.
Speaking at the inaugration of a three-day Career Expo, 2008, organised by Goa Education Development Corporation in South Goa yesterday, Mr Kamat said the document was being drafted by the experts.
''The State government has decided to lay thrust on education and accordingly an Education Advisory Integrated Council has been constituted to prepare vision document on education. The government will implement the document of the council with sincerity and honesty,'' he said.
He emphasised on making Goa a ''model state'' in each and every sector and said the education system must help students imbibe moral values, while deciding on a career.
''Students can best shape the future of Goa in the coming years and therefore, they should be aware of the opportunities and options available to them in different sectors,'' Mr Kamat said while stressing the need to guide the students properly.
