Jalandhar, Feb 9 (UNI) Adampur airbase near here today turned out to be the coldest place as the night temperature further dropped in Punjab.
According to a defence spokesperson, the minimum temperature recorded at Adampur was 1.0 degree as against yesterday's 3.8 degrees.
In the holy city of Amritsar, the minimum temperature dropped to 1.8 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature recorded at Halwara airbase near Ludhiana was 2.4 degrees.
In the border town of Pathankot, the minimum temperatures plunged to 3.0 degrees Celsius from yesterday's 6.4 degrees Celsius, while Bathinda was cold at 2.8 degrees Celsius as against yesterday's 3.6 degrees.
The minimum temperature registered in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was 5.0 degrees, while yesterday it was 8.2 degees.
For the next 24 hours, the met office has predicted fog, mist and haze in the morning and clear weather during the day.
