Isolated rainfall over south interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Feb 9: Followins is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Chamarajnagara 4, Koratagere, Thondebhavi, Gowribidanur, T Narsipura 1 each.

Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over Coastal Karnataka however rose at many places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and appreciably below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, however they were appreciably above normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka.

Belgaum AP recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.5 Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather will prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Tumkur, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban districts and at isolated places over Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu districts. Mainly dry weather will prevail over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy with light rain. Minimum temperature likely to be around 19 Degree Celsius.
