New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) IDS Softwares Pvt Ltd (IDS), an integrated IT solutions provider for the hospitality industry, announced its entry into the West African market with its first order from The New Coco Beach Resort located in Ghana, on the Atlantic Coast of West Africa.
''This milestone comes at a time when West Africa has been recognized by the US as an emerging market with great potential for tourism and commercial ventures. Winning this order is an important landmark and we look forward to greater business opportunities from this region," General Manager, Sales, (IDS Softwares) Rajesh Yadav said.
The New Coco Beach Resort located on the beachfront of the capital Accra, not far from the industrial port city of Tema, was seeking a solution that would integrate all operations for their 75-room property. It is owned by an equal partnership of Ghanaian, English and Dutch concerns.
''It is vital for management to have the ability and the flexibility to generate reports of various requirements and Fortune express has the potential to do this as well as being very user friendly. The system integrates all the departments and as it is networked all records will be concise and will be coordinated to provide real time information for accounting purposes and quick reviews,'' General Manager (New Coco Beach Resort, Accra, Ghana) Naveed Ali said.
IDS Softwares has tied up with KOIOS International, a local IT enterprise, as the sales and technical support partner for the Ghana market. The company's Global Support Center at Bangalore will offer second line support to its customers/partner 24x7x365, while the R&D centre will design and develop products and solutions.
''I feel it's just a start and we would very soon capture the hotel industry in West Africa'' Director, (KOIOS International, Accra, Ghana) Girish Gurbani said.
