New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) The Congress today said the sentivities of all sections of people would be addressed while taking a decision on the Sethusamudram canal project.
Asked whether the project was put in cold storage in view of the fact that the government had sought more time from the Supreme Court for filing its response, AICC spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan told reporters that there was no change in the party's stand on the issue.
The project was a long-standing demand of the people of Tamil Nadu and its alignment was initiated, cleared and taken forward by the previous NDA government.
Since some sections of people had raised objections and the matter was sub judice, all sensitivities would be addressed, she said.
