Renuka favours inclusion of disaster management in curriculum
Mumbai, Feb 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhary today favoured inclusion of disaster management in the curriculum of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other boards.
Inaugurating an exhbition on disaster management, organised jointly by the disaser management cell of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) with a city-based Vile Parle Kelvani Mandal here the Minister said there was a need to make the disaster management education common.
Stating that youth, especially young children, were required to give such education, Ms Chowdhary said ''Disaster management should be made a way of living as we do not know when a disaster strikes.'' Hailing the efforts of both the BMC and Kelvani Mandal for joining hands to organise the exhibition, she also called for forming public-private partnership in this direction.
