Lalu indicates rail budget as populist
Jhabua(MP), Feb 8 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today indicated that the coming railway budget would be a populist one specially benefitting the poor.
Addressing a public meeting here after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stones for two new railway lines in western Madhya Pradesh, Mr Prasad urged the people to listen to his budget speech as he could not reveal much regarding the budget due to parliamentary obligations.
Mr Prasad also announced to set up a sleeper factory at Madhya Pradesh's tribal dominated Jhabua region.
