Kerala Home Minister seeks cooperation of FOKANA
Kottayam, Feb 8 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today sought the cooperation of the Federation of Kerala Associations in North America (FOKANA) for infrastructure development in the state.
Inaugurating the silver jubilee convention of FOKANA here, he said the government was ready to evolve schemes for the development of the state with the cooperation of the NRIs. He advised the FOKANA members to act as tourism ambassadors of the state.
The state government was introducing schemes for attracting private investments for the development of the state, he said.
FOKANA film awards were also distributed on the occasion.
State Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran, PWD Minister Monce Joseph, M M Jacob, P J Kurian- MP, K M Mani-MLA, V N Vasavan -MLA, KTDC Chairman, Cherian Philip and FOKANA President Sasidharan Nair were also present on the occasion.
