Halwara coldest at 1.2 degrees celsius in Punjab
Jalandhar, Feb 8 (UNI) Halwara Airforce Station, near Ludhiana today turned out to be the coldest place in Punjab as the night temperature dipped to 1.2 degrees celsius.
According to a defence spokesperson, the minimum temperature registered a sharp decline at Halwara as yesterday it was 5.4 degrees celsius.
Adampur airbase near here was cold at 3.8 degrees celsius while in the holy city of Amritsar, the night temperature dropped to 2.0 degees celsius from yesterday's 2.8 degrees celsius.
In the border town of Pathankot, the minimum temperatures recorded was 6.4 degrees celsius, while Bathinda was cold at 3.6 degrees celsius.
The minimum temperature registered in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was 8.2 degees celsius.
For the next 24 hours, the met office has predicted fog, mist and haze in the morning and fair to partially cloudy cloudy sky during the day.
