''The army will meet its constitutional obligations in helping the Civil Administration for maintaining law and order, as and when required,'' he said while reviewing Army's employment in the forthcoming general elections in various parts of the country, during the conference of military commanders in Rawalpindi yesterday. According to a military statement, the conference was given a comprehensive briefing on security environment.
Gen Kiyani dilated on the evolving geo-political dynamics and emphasised on the need to synergise the effort of the nation and the army to ensure peace and stability. He further added that Pakistan army will always live upto the expectations of the nation.
The participants also dwelt at length on various issues related to operational preparedness, training and administrative matters related to the Army.
