Dhumal urges Centre for LPG refills supply without delay
Shimla, Feb 8 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has requested the Centre to direct agencies concern to rush LPG refills supplies without any further delay, so that people of the state did not suffer for shortage of the cooking gas.
In a letter written to Centre, the Chief Minister has urged Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora for his intervention in matter and get supplies made to all the distributors located in different stations all over the state besides maintaining the LPG refills regular supply line to the state in future as well.
The Chief Minister said that the state was in the grip of intense cold wave and higher reaches were being affected due to regular snow fall which often delink the areas by road communication, and storage of the LPG refill stock with local distributors was not enough to last much longer since the consumption of the LPG increases manifold during winter season.
Mr Dhumal said that winter season was already in progress and was likely to last longer since the state was experiencing record snow fall and intense cold conditions were likely to last some time longer compared to earlier winter seasons, and to cope with unexpected shortage more LPG refills are needed in the state.
