Police solve Andheri based call girl's murder case
Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) The crime branch of Mumbai Police today arrested the accused involved in the murder of an Andheri based call girl here.
Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Rakesh Maria, while speaking to reporters, said that the accused, Ramkhilawan Mohan Sahu, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Sanjana Vijay Kadam (21), who was found murdered on January 16, here at Andheri (West).
''Sahu was known to the deceased, who had lent him Rs 2,000.
On Sanjana's refusal to lend him more money, Sahu killed her and decamped with Rs 6,000 in cash, two gold rings and a gold chain,'' Mr Maria said.
A Nokia cell phone has also been recovered from Sahu, he added.
Mr Maria said that since there was no evidence against Sahu, the police had arrested Sanjana's step father, Vijay Kadam, who was later released.
Sahu, a native of Jharkhand, had come to the city on January 4, and does not have any criminal record.
