NCR Planning Board sanctions Rs 22 cr for Rohtak, Jhajjar
Chandigarh, Feb 7 (UNI) To strengthen power distribution system of National Capital Region, the National Capital Region Planning Board has sanctioned a sum Rs 22.73 crore for carrying out multifarious developmental activities in district Rohtak and Jhajjar.
Giving details, a spokesman for the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam said here today that the Nigam had made a comprehensive plan to strengthen the distribution network of these districts to meet the growing demand of electricity.
The plan included setting up of 11 sub stations of 33 KV level at Dighal, Hassangarh, Senior Secondary School Rohtak, Sector-6 Rohtak, Baniyani, Rohad, Ritauli, Kharawar, Dubal Dhan, Sampla Road Jhajjar and an unmanned sub-station at Bal Bhawan Rohtak.
The unmanned sub-station is first for the state and will be constructed using the latest technology available, the spokesman said.
He said that the Nigam had also planned to erect 37 new feeders of 11 KV level in these areas to minimise brake downs and ensure power supply with better voltage.
The spokesman further stated that after implementation of these schemes there would be a significant reduction in the Aggregated Transmission and Commercial (AT&C) losses.
He also said that about 51,000 electricity consumers of Rohtak and Jhajjar towns and about 35 villages of these districts would be benefited by way of better voltage and continuity of power supply.
