Nanakshahi calendar released by SGPC chief
Amritsar, Feb 7 (UNI) Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar today released the Nanakshahi calender samvat 540 at the SGPC headquarters here.
Recently, Patna Sahib jathhedar Gyani Iqbal Singh had rejected the calendar leading to a controversy .
The Akal Takh has given official recognition to this caledar some years back.
