Minimum temperature dips to 2.8 degees celsius in Amritsar
Jalandhar, Feb 7 (UNI) Cold wave continued to prevail as minimum temperature further dipped in Punjab.
According to a defence spokesperson, Amritsar registered a sharp decline in the night temperature. The minimum temperature recorded in the holy city was 2.8 degrees celsius from yesterday's 6.2 degrees celsius.
The minimum temperature recorded at Adampur airbase near here was 3.2 degrees as against yesterday's 5.8 degrees celsius, while Halwara airbase near Ludhiana was cold at 5.4 degrees, however, the minimum temperatures at Pathankot and Bathinda rose to 9.8 degrees celsius and 9.2 degees celsius from yesterday's 7.0 degrees celsius and 2.4 degrees celsius respectively.
The minimum temperature registered in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was 9.2 degees celsius.
The met office for today has predicted cloudy to partially cloudy sky with mist and haze accompanied by a spell of occassional rains during the day. For tommorrow, fog in the morning hours and cloudy to partially cloudy sky throughout the day.
