Light Combat Supersonic Fighter to get clearance by 2010: ADA
Bangalore, Feb 7 (UNI) Indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, was on its way to get 'Initial Operational Clearance' by 2010, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) Director P S Subramanyam said today.
Speaking to newspesons after announcing hosting of a two-day International Seminar on 'Flight Testing' from February 14, Mr Subramanyam said that LCA was undergoing last leg of its flight tests at ASTE and almost 80 per cent of it has been completed.
He said that the progress of LCA project was going on as per the expectations of Indian Air Force, which they were looking forward and expressed confidence that it will hit the target even before the set time schedule. The induction of LCA into Indian Air Force would provide operational edge over others.
