Leopard cub found dead in National Park
Lucknow, Feb 7 (UNI) An eight-month-old leopard cub was found dead in the Dudhwa National Park near the Indo-Nepal border.
Wildlife authorities said here the cub was found by villagers in the Sathiana range of the National Park on Tuesday. An autopsy revealed that while the cub was hungry, it had tapeworms and was also suffering from pneumonia.
UP has a total of seven leopards -- five in Dudhwa and two in Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary.
A report from Banda said yesterday that panic prevailed among students and teachers after a leopard entered a college there.
The incident was reported from Baberu area, where the wild animal entered the J P Inter College wounding two people.
